Mary Bell, M.S. CCC-SLP

Owner | Speech Language Pathologist

Mary is an energetic and enthusiastic professional with a passion for helping children. She believes strongly in educating caregivers to become facilitators of their children’s speech and language skills at home. She forms relationships easily and uses a playful, child-centered approach to connect with children.

Mary graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders. She received her Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology from Boston University. She is certified by the states of New York and Connecticut and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associate (ASHA). She is a level one PROMPT trained therapist and is Hanen certified.

Mary has spent the majority of her career working with the pediatric population in private practices or in-home as a private speech and language pathologist. Her career has afforded her opportunities to work with children and adults of all ages and abilities in Boston, Los Angeles, New York City and abroad in Kuwait.

Mary’s therapy emphasis has been in the areas of articulation, processing disorders, language development, social-pragmatic skills, Autism Spectrum Disorders and fluency. She also has experience developing and running toddler/parent groups, social skills groups and presenting in workshops for parents and educators.

Emma Breyan

Speech Language Pathologist

Emma graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's of Science in Communications Disorder and Master’s in Speech Language Pathology. Emma is a certified Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Connecticut and is also a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Emma has clinical/work experience ranging from birth to geriatric population. She has spent the majority of her career as a school-based SLP working for the Bridgeport, Wilton and Greenwich Public Schools. She also has experience working in the outpatient pediatric setting as a per diem SLP. Emma has skills in treating articulation, phonological, language, pragmatics and feeding disorders in pediatrics ages 2-12. Emma is certified in the SOS approach to feeding and soon to be certified in the PROMPT approach for children with motor planning difficulties.

Emma believes in developing strong relationships with patients and families and creating comfortable play-based environments to support speech and language development.

In Emma’s free time she enjoys being outside, hiking, golfing, going to the beach, and traveling amongst other interests.
